Clan Terms
  • Sun-drown place - The ocean.
  • Fresh-kill - Prey.
  • Crowfood - Dead, rotting fresh-kill.
  • Mouse-brain, fox dung - Insults.
  • The Moonpool - The place where medicine cats meet with StarClan every half-moon (replaces the Moonstone). The Moonpool is a small pool.
  • Half-bridge - A dock.
  • Kittypet - A domesticated cat that lives with humans; also used as an insult to another clan cat.
  • Thunderpath - A road, more specifically a highway.
  • Twolegs - Humans.
  • Twoleg nest - A human house.
  • Greenleaf Twolegplace - A human house for rent by the lake in summer; a sailing center.
  • Horseplace - A ranch or stables.
  • Twolegplace - A human neighborhood or farm.
  • Gathering - A time when all four Clans meet in peace every full moon. (Once a month.)



    Tribe Terms
  • Prey-hunter - A cat that catches prey for the Tribe, like a warrior on a hunting patrol. Example: Brook Where Small Fish Swim (Brook)
  • Cave-guard - A cat that protects and guards the Tribe's cave, like a warrior protecting their camp. Example: Crag Where Eagles Nest (Crag)
  • Healer - The leader of the Tribe and the cat who heals the injured. Example: Teller of the Pointed Stones (Stoneteller)
  • To-be - A cat in training to be a prey-hunter or a cave-guard, like an apprentice.
  • Kit-mother - A she-cat nursing or expecting kits, like a queen. Example: Flight of Startled Heron (Flight)
  • Caught-prey - Prey, like fresh-kill.



    Times
  • Newleaf - Term for spring.
  • Greenleaf - Term for summer.
  • Leaf-fall - Term for autumn
  • Leaf-bare - Term for winter
  • Moon - Term for month
  • Quarter moon - Term for week
